Class Description
There are 26 students in this group. They
have English classes once a week, for 50 minutes each time. They are very noisy
and the word games and songs are useful methods
of teaching English.
Main Aims
By the end of the lesson the students will
be able:

to say the new vocabulary using coloured
flashcards

-to identify the Easter animals

-to guess the missing flashcards

practise vocabulary using a short dialogue

-to practise speaking English by singing a
song

Anticipated Problems
The students may find the pronunciation of
the English words difficult but the
teacher will encourage them to speak
in English. The children may be very
noisy.
Possible
Solutions
The children sit down on cushions in front
of the white board and the teacher alternates the word games with TPR
activities.

teacher presents the flashcards with the new vocabulary. The children repeat
the new words. The teacher checks comprehension by asking

the missing flashcard
DESCRIPTION-The
teacher sticks the set of flashcards on the BB. Children say the words. She
asks the children to close their eyes and removes one of the flashcards.
Children open their eyes and name the missing flashcard.

AIM- to practice
vocabulary using a short dialogue
DESCRIPTION- The
teacher sits in a circle with the children. She passes a flashcard to the child
on her left and asks:

this?
Do you
like…….? Yes, I do. No, I don’t.
The
child answers, then asks the question and passes the flashcard to the next
child and so on round the circle.

DESCRIPTION- The teacher plays the record. The
children listen to the song on the CD
and sing alongside the teacher.
