“100
portului popular.
Portul popular reprezintă una dintre cele mai importante
forme de cultură ale unui popor.
Regina

"100
Years of ROMANIA" - a project aimed at developing the feeling
of patriotism among pupils from a very early age. In the informative seminar on
Romania's symbols, the students were told about the folk clothes. The
traditional costume is one of the most important forms of culture of a nation.
The
Queen Mary was the one who discovered, promoted and supported the raw silk and
the Romanian tradition in Europe. Before that, the Romanians wore a folk costume
specific to the area represented by embroidered peasant blouse on raw silk canvas with floral or geometric motifs
with colors representative for the natural environment. Romanian folk skirt.
Romania
is one of the few countries in the world where, in the year 2000, some people
in the village still wear traditional costumes on working days, not only on
certain occasions.
Baran
Mihaela clasa a VI F :”Portul popular românesc își găsește
Marga
Ariana: În decursul istoriei, structura și evoluția costumului
popular românesc și-a păstrat nealterate caracteristicile esențiale.

VI F: "The Romanian folk costume is rooted in the way of our ancestors
wore their clothes, Thracians, Getae and Dacians, and resembles that of the
people of the Balkan Peninsula, of course with the differences that they have
decorative and colorful details.
Marga Ariana:
Throughout history, the structure and evolution of the Romanian folk costume
has kept its essential characteristics unchanged.
Through the creative workshop attended by
pupils and parents was realized the "Romanian Peony".
Bucureşti a pus bazele unui proiect inedit.
In folklore, there is the belief that bad
spirits are hidden in the peony petals. However, in the Romanian villages, in
mid-May, the peasants spend the "Peony holiday", in which people pay
tribute to nature, but also to the spiritual and physical beauty of the proud
young girls and boys.
Starting from the significance of the peony in
the Romanian folklore, from its presence in literature, painting and especially
in the traditional motifs of the folk costumes, Florin Toma, a lecturer at the
Faculty of Horticulture in Bucharest, has laid the foundations of a novel
project.
One thing less known, the initiators of the
project say, is the fact that in Romania, the floral motifs sewn on the
Romanian embroidered peasant blouse are
actually peonies.

Romania abroad, was celebrated through the photo exhibition, the theatrical

The
patriotism of students from Anton Pann Secondary School was also
expressed through creative works through different techniques, creativity being
an essential value that represents our pupils.
The patriotic songs ”Doamne ocroteste-i pe romani”, “Limba
noastra”, ‘Pe-al nostru steag e scris unire” were
beautifully interpreted by the representatives of the choral band.
Toghe Catalina: “TRAIASCA ROMANIA MARE, Cinste bravilor ostasi

The pride of being a Romanian was also
expressed in folk dances.
Buga Stefania: "The folk dance is the
gateway to the national identity of a nation".
Badita Alexandra " The Romanian folk
dance is a manifestation of national spirit and identity"!
Mrs. Letitia MURARUS, biology teacher: The
Romanian folk dance is a treasure that we have to give from generation to
generation and our duty is to protect and leave it to our children as a
testimony of our national history and identity.
There was a gesture of hospitality by offering
two simple elements - the bread and salt by Mrs. Andreea Din-our deputy master.
Offering bread and salt, the ritual of
hospitality in the pre-Christian time is a sign of benevolence and acceptance
to the one who came to someone's home or country.
Seria
Europa centrală, pe filiera Bavaria – Austria –Boemia in sec.XVII-XVIII.
The winter holidays continued with "Saint
Nicholas".
Being a religious event, students with drawing
talent participated in a workshop on the creation of icons on glass.
From an ethnographic point of view, in our
country, the glass icon has been affirmed as a category of folk art, a genre of
folk art practiced almost exclusively in Transylvania and which has to be
linked to some influences coming from Central Europe on the Bavarian -
Austria-Bohemia in XVII-XVIII centuries. Regarding the themes used, the icon on
glass sometimes associates religious representations with secular elements
related to peasant life and preoccupations, as well as some inspired by local
folklore.
Lucrarile au fost expuse
la Centrul Județean de Cultură Rm. Vâlcea, odata cu deschiderea
seriei manifestarilor dedicate Nașterii Mântuitorului Iisus
Hristos.
The
works were exhibited at the Cultural Center Rm Valcea, with the opening of the
series of events dedicated to the Birth of the Savior Jesus Christ.
Every year, on the night of December 5 to
December 6, children know that their boots must be polished, because Saint Nick
will come to them to bring gifts to those who are nice. Disobedient children
receive a twig, meant to alert them and to remind them that they have to listen
to their parents and grandparents. For Saint Nick is enough to look through the
windows to figure out if a child was good or bad.
On this occasion the students got acquainted
with the legend of Saint Nicholas, followed by a workshop that made "the
magic of this celebration," and the students were taught to pack gifts.
The motif's skirt was expressed by drawing and
then made of red canvas.
For hundreds of years, kind and diligent
children receive fruit, pretzels and honeycombs with Santa Claus, and Saint
Nicholas offered them to the little ones during his life.
For the
effort, the students found in boots sweets and motivational messages offered by
the form master/teacher.
Să-l
Let's wait for Santa!
An important tradition associated with
Christmas celebration is the decoration of the Christmas
In the creative workshops pupils made
ornaments, snowflakes, winter greetings and learned carols.
The students wrote letters to Santa Claus that
they put under the beautifully decorated tree.
Versuri de Adrian PĂUNESCU, recitate de Buga Ștefania .
În colindă, cel
puternic
Lyrics by the Romanian poet Adrian PAUNESCU,
recited by Buga Stefania.
In the carol, the strong one
And the holy one is the Word,
How he joins one night
The man, the sky and the earth.
We too many of ours
Lost them turning,
Through these carols
We go back to pure state.
The carols are traditional Romanian songs,
namely epoch-lyrical greetings (wishes), perpetuated in the pre-Christian
period. Carols are sung around Christmas and New Year.
Am plecat sa colindam, Florile dalbe, Deschide usa crestina, Sus
boieri nu mai dormiti, O brad frumos are just a few of the
carols that our students sang at school, at church or in the community and were
rewarded with apples, nuts, or other sweets.
The headmasters of our school offered fruit and bagels to the
pupils, which is an old custom.
nașterii Domnului Iisus, o sărbătoare a liniștii sufletești, a
dragi.
It is said about the Christmas tree that it is
a tree of life because it remains green all the time, thus symbolizing Christ,
eternally alive.
In Romania, the Christmas tree was first
adorned in the palace of King Carol I of Hohenzollern in 1866, and since then
the Romanians have taken over this tradition.
The Christmas tree was first decorated with
fruit, paper flowers or biscuits. Over time, it has been made to decorate it
with the same kind of wonders, including: glass ornaments, tinsel, chocolates,
lights, etc.
There is also the custom that a star is placed
on the top of the Christmas tree, which guided the wise kings to Bethlehem.
This star is said to bring good luck and fulfill all the wishes.
In addition to the Christmas tree, Christians
put the Christmas wreaths, hung on the entrance doors, symbolizing
health and good luck, and their round shape represents the eternity of love
that never goes away.
Another plant used to decorate houses around
Christmas and New Year is the mistletoe. It is said about the mistletoe that it
is a healing plant, symbolizing harmony and peace. Also, kissing it brings
stronger love in a couple.
It is known about Christmas that it is the
feast of the birth of Jesus, a feast of peace of mind, peace and gifts. In
fact, Christmas is a celebration full of light, meaning and symbols.
The Christmas holiday has always been a
celebration of joy for Christians, but especially for children who look forward
to the moment of Christmas tree decoration or the days when they go caroling,
receiving gifts instead. At the same time, it is customary for Christians, on
Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day, to go to the church, after which they take
family meals.
The Christmas tree is a recent tradition in
Romania, but it is the most beloved custom of winter holidays, thanks to the
symbols that are associated with it: love, joy, happiness, fulfillment, hope,
life, health, magic ...!
